Saturday we made our appearance at Pirate Day. There was much excitement and anticipation over this event, as you can imagine. We are huge Pirate fans at our house. So, the boys are dressed in Pirate garb, we get there, they hand out pirate tattoos and jewels. We walk a little further through the street festival and accumulate doubloons, sno cones, pirate trinkets, and pirate tattoos. There were little games such as coconut bowling, tresure hunt, a frog game (picture to left) and bounce houses. However, as soon as the bounce houses were in sight...RAIN! ARRRR!!! Small meltdown. We have to seek shelter as we are stuck in one of the summer mini-hurricanes, as we call them. The storm passes and Liam and Xander get in line to dunk some politician (who knows). Liam dunks the guy on his 2nd try. They change politicians and Xander walks up throws the ball- hits the target on the 1st try- in the dude goes! Xander is super excited! I don't think the guy thought he was going in...this was the guy's first dunk! Well, on that high note, it starts to thunder and we walk the plank back to the car.
